Volunteer Position: Data Entry Volunteer

Location: Remote
Commitment:
Minimum 5 hours per week (but can volunteer more) with flexible hours and a minimum of a 6-month commitment

CEO and COO

Position Overview
The Data Entry Volunteer plays an important role in supporting our organization’s mission by ensuring accurate and secure entry of information related to survivor services, community resources, operational, and fundraising data. This role requires attention to detail, confidentiality, and a commitment to trauma-informed principles when handling sensitive data related to vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input and maintain data in organizational databases and spreadsheets.
  • Organize, verify, and update records related to survivor services, partnerships, and advocacy efforts.
  • Follow confidentiality protocols to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Assist in generating reports and summaries for internal and external use.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to ensure data integrity and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Participate in trauma-informed training to understand the ethical considerations when handling survivor-related data.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google suite.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed principles is a plus, or a willingness to learn is essential.
  • Experience working with nonprofit or social justice organizations is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, while maintaining clean and consistent communication with the team.
  • A growth mindset and willingness to learn. 
  • Must acquire and pass a background check

Training & Support Provided

  • Orientation to organizational policies and data management systems.
  • Ongoing support and check-ins with a supervisor.
